Okay Orlando, this is a busy one. Three days, five events, and honestly a really good spread of everything this scene does — comebacks, cupsleeves, dancing, and trading. Grab a pen (or just bookmark this) because you’re going to want to plan your route.

Quick disclosure before we dive in: some of the businesses and organizers below have a relationship with AegyOrlando. I’ve vended for Badamo_FL and her cupsleeve events are so fun and nicely decorated! Make sure to check out her IG!

Friday: MonstaX Comeback Party

Hey86Official is throwing a MonstaX comeback party at Paris Banh Mi in Altamonte Springs, 2–6pm.

Comeback parties are exactly what they sound like — a bunch of fans gathering in person to watch a comeback drop together, freak out over the new title track, and just be loud about it in a room full of people who get it. If you’ve never been to one, know that it’s very low-pressure. Nobody’s grading you on how many lyrics you know. Show up, order something, and enjoy the chaos with people who are just as hyped as you are.

If you’re newer to the fandom and “comeback” is still a word that trips you up — it just means a group releasing new music, usually with a lead single called the title track. It’s not a comeback in the sense of returning from a break necessarily; groups use the word even for their very next release. Korean fandom vocabulary does a lot of heavy lifting like that, where a familiar English word gets a slightly different job.

Saturday: Multi-Stan Cupsleeve at Blended Bistro & Boba

Starchild.Events is running a multi-stan cupsleeve event at Blended Bistro & Boba, 1–6pm.

“Multi-stan” just means this one isn’t built around a single group or member — it’s a mixed bag, so whatever you’re into, there’s probably a design for it. That’s a nice format for people who bounce between fandoms or just want to see a wider variety of art.

Here’s the part I want to be really upfront about, because I run these myself and I’ve seen the disappointed faces when the expectation doesn’t match reality: cupsleeves are a limited run. They are not one-per-customer, and they don’t automatically come with every drink. Sometimes they’re tied to specific drink selections, and once they’re gone, they’re gone. The honest advice — and the actually useful advice — is to get there early if there’s a design you have your heart set on. Early birds get first pick. That’s just how it works at basically every cupsleeve event, not just this one.

Sunday: Nayeon & Felix Birthday Cupsleeve

Badamo_FL is also hosting a cupsleeve at Blended Bistro & Boba, this time celebrating birthdays for Nayeon of Twice and Felix of Stray Kids, Sunday 1–5pm.

Birthday cupsleeve events are one of my favorite little corners of this hobby. They’re usually built around fan-made art celebrating a specific member, and they tend to draw a real mix of Twice and Stray Kids fans who might not otherwise cross paths. Same rule applies here as Saturday: sleeves are limited, so don’t assume you’re guaranteed one just by showing up whenever. If you’ve got a soft spot for either Nayeon or Felix, this is worth building your Sunday around.

Sunday: K-pop Random Dance Party

Also Sunday — K-pop Dance Florida is hosting a random dance party at Backstage Studios Orlando, 7–8:30pm, $10 entry.

If you don’t know what “random dance” (sometimes called KPRD) is: someone plays short clips of K-pop choreography in random order, and anyone who knows the moves jumps in and dances along. It sounds intimidating if you’ve never done choreo in your life, but honestly, its very low pressure, and if you decided to come out and pay the entry fee, you probably know a thing or two about dancing. Nobody’s going to hand you a spotlight you didn’t ask for. It’s just a room full of people who love the songs enough to move their bodies to them.

Sunday: PC Trading and Decorating at Oviedo Mall

And rounding out Sunday, VersusGamesOviedo is hosting a K-pop trading and decorating event at Oviedo Mall, starting at 12pm.

This one’s for the photocard people. If you’ve got a binder or a toploader stack you’ve been dying to dig through with other collectors, this is your spot — bring your trade list, bring cash or whatever your usual trade currency is (some people trade straight across, some do cash plus card), and go find the pieces you’ve been missing.

If trading posts online still read like a foreign language to you — WTS, WTT, ISO, LF and all that — I actually wrote a whole explainer breaking down exactly what each of those means and how to read a trade post without embarrassing yourself. Worth a skim before you go, especially if this is your first in-person trading event: WTS, WTT, ISO, LF: How to Actually Read a K-Pop Photocard Trade Post.

And if you’re building out a want list before Sunday and need somewhere local to check for stock, Kpop Nara Orlando is worth a look too.

So Which One Should You Actually Go To?

Honestly? If your schedule allows, hit more than one. Friday’s comeback party and Saturday’s cupsleeve are different vibes entirely — one’s about screaming over a new release together, the other’s about slow, happy chaos over cute cup designs. Sunday’s the real decision point since you’ve got three things stacked on top of each other. If you’re a collector first, the Oviedo trading event is probably your priority. If you just want to be around people who love this stuff as much as you do without any pressure to perform, the cupsleeve or the random dance party will do that for you.

Whatever you pick, get there with time to spare — especially for the cupsleeve events. Sleeves don’t wait around, and neither, apparently, does this weekend.
